As much as we would love to take all your items, the Salt Lake ReStore can only accept resalable items. Below is a list of things we do not accept. However, if you need to get rid of these items, we can recommend two options:
1. Use our Priority Pickup service – for a fee, they will collect almost anything, including junk.
2. Several nonprofits may accept these items – see the list at the bottom of this page.

Armoires
Automotive supplies
Bed frames (except the basic metal adjustable type)
Bunk beds
Cabinet drawers and doors by themselves (must have the cabinet)
Can lights and accessories (unless new)
Carpet (unless new)
Cast iron sinks and bathtubs (unless new)
Ceiling fans (unless new)
Ceiling tiles and drop ceiling frames
Chandeliers that have more than six lights or are over 36” in diameter
Chemicals (things like acids, bases, industrial chemicals, poisons, etc.)
Cleaning products
Clothing
Computers and monitors
Cribs, highchairs, strollers, car seats
Curtains and curtain rods (unless new)
Electronics
Entertainment centers
Fireplace inserts and mantels
Fire safes
Fluorescent bulbs and light fixtures
Furniture that is broken, damaged, excessively worn or is missing hardware
Futon mattresses (futon frames are accepted if in good condition)
Grandfather clocks
Hardware (screws, nails, etc.) that is rusty or damaged or loose (All hardware must be separated and packaged).

Jetted tubs and hot tubs (unless new)

Linens, towels, and blankets
Lumber that is rotted or has protruding nails or fasteners
Mattresses and box springs
Office furniture: desks, credenzas, workstations, cubicles, and file cabinets (we DO accept office chairs, lobby and reception furniture, and side chairs).
Paint, paint thinner, acetone, and other paint chemicals.
Pianos and other musical instruments
Shutters
Sofa Beds
Tools that are rusty or damaged
Trampolines

Window blinds that are mini blinds or are metal
